Mr Logan, the funeral director has a fabulously defiant smile
And fear does not knock on the door to his heart
For when his wonderful wife departed
He made a discovery that changed the way he saw life…and death
A secret gateway that led between…
It is a closely guarded secret on both sides of the rusted iron
And Mr Logan has only ever led a handful of living into the land of the dead
Or vice versa (and only ever for a short time)
But come Halloween the veil is thin and Mrs Logan is throwing a party
So come on in
If you fancy a fright
Come dance with the dead and celebrate life.
The Dead of Night Dance is a wicked and wonderful Halloween Celebration, with theatre and adventure, thrills, frights, and delights where short stories play out on Mrs Logan’s stage in a spook show with Snake Haired Women, Grave Digging Science, Cursed Egyptian Mummies, Bewitched Dolls and Lost Souls.
And Mrs Logan has a surprise for Mr Logan too…a little monster in her belly, ready to spring out any time soon!
With a wild blend of imagination, magic and macabre humour the celebration mixes live music, storytelling, dance and a twist of circus spectacle.
The adventure follows a path through the woods into the land of the dead and ends in our wonderful stretch canvas tent, so dress for the weather of this world and the cold of the underworld.
The Dead of Night Dance is designed for brave adventurers of all ages.
There will be bumps and scares and spooky moments too and you will be in the woods at Halloween (anything could happen)!
Ghosts, ghouls, vampires, witches and the demonically possessed all welcome.
Fancy dress, fangs and pumpkins are encouraged (all ages).
There will be free face painting in the underworld for those not already transformed.
All are welcome, from this world and the other!
Reasonably priced hot refreshments, cold drinks, beer, wine, cider and of course vegetable woodland stew from a bubbling cauldron (with a Halloween twist) will be available to buy.
Toilets are situated near the performance area.
For your woodland adventure we recommend you bring a blanket to sit on, a warm and waterproof coat, shoes for adventure (wellies if it has been raining) and a torch if you are coming for the dark performances.
There will be hay bales to sit on, though feel free to bring cushions or fold out chairs (if you don’t mind carrying them).
The event lasts about 2 hours in total and takes place in the woodland so come prepared whatever the weather.
The path twists and turns and is bumpy under foot but should be fine for a rugged buggy!
The Dead of Night Dance gathers thrice a day on the following dates,
The first at 2pm (Day dance)
The second at 5pm (Dusk dance)
And the third at 8pm (Dark dance)
We recommend that you assess your own level of bravery against the quickening darkness and pick the event for you accordingly!
