A cooking adventure in the wild!
Cooking on fires is a simple but magical process. And when you take your Kitchen outdoors a whole world of life and imagination, story and wild ingredients unravels around you.
Fire and food has long sat at the hearts of our homes, families and communities and is both a necessary part of life and a pleasurable one.
Rogue Kitchen celebrates the wild and ancient art of having fun with food, eating well with low cost ingredients and looking to nature to add some spice!
Part bush craft, part wild foraging, part hands on cooking – Rogue Kitchen will serve up a hearty and informative experience to ignite imaginations and remind us all of the wild and simple pleasure of sharing food from the fire.
The second Rogue Kitchen project takes place in Tehidy Woods on the 23rd, 24th, 25th, 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th May.
We will be cooking Wild Woodland Stew, Fire Pot Bread and Orange Volcano Cakes.
(Dishes for this event are vegetarian. If you have any dietary requirements please contact Rogue on 07837561483 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
How it will work
In groups of between 2 and 6 we will build fires, cook and of course eat together. The Rogue team will work alongside you in a clearing in the woods and we will all come together at the end to feast and listen to a fireside story; Rogue style with live music.
The event will take place around fires in the open woodland so come dressed for the weather and working near flames.
The experience is designed for families and participants of all ages, though bare in mind we will be working close to hot fires.
Please bring with you – a picnic blanket, cutlery, a plate and a bowl each and a plastic container to take any left overs away with you.
We will provide – all the ingredients, cooking pots and other equipment.
