ROGUE SUMMER SHOWS
Multi award winning Rogue Theatre returns to the woods this august with a new call to the wild, a festival of summer and a book full of fantastical new stories.
“Immersive theatre at its best” Wild Woodland Summer Ball is Rogue’s free-spirited celebration of wildness, set in one of Cornwall’s breathtaking landscapes of wonder; Tehidy Woods, North Cliffs.
Wild Woodland Summer Ball blends stories of fantastical realism with a carnival atmosphere of escapism and a dance at the wild heart of the woods.
So join us for a while, be transported to another realm, waltz along the woodland path, take your imagination for a dance.
Wild Woodland Summer Ball is a unique woodland adventure into a wondrous world.
Join the King of the Woods on the paths of your imagination, and Moon, the Queen of the Sky as they tell tales of adventurous girls and curiosity pop up shops, of enchanted journeys, of love, beasts, and a thousand new moons, of growing old, magic and wise, and of fire crows that light up the dark night skies.
There will be enchanting live music, thrilling stories, otherworldly performance, explosive acrobatics, fire, dancing, free face painting, and the chance to create something wild and wonderful in a free woodland craft workshop.
Forest creature costumes, faerie Dress, otherworld outfits, party frocks, wild life masks, funny hats, forest finery, frippery, feathers and fancy hairdos are encouraged though not essential. (Grown ups as well as children)
All are welcome, from near or far!
Reasonably priced hot refreshments, cold drinks, beer, wine and cider will be available to buy.
Rogue’s epic Wild Woodland Vegetable Stew will also be available to buy. (Served from a giant cauldron bubbling on the fire).
Toilets are situated near the performance area.
For your woodland adventure we recommend you bring a picnic/snacks/treats (optional), a picnic blanket, a warm and waterproof coat, shoes for adventure (wellies if it has been raining) and a torch if you are coming for the evening performance.
There will be hay bales to sit on, though feel free to bring cushions or fold out chairs (if you don’t mind carrying them).
The event lasts about 2 ½ hours and takes place in the woodland so come prepared whatever the weather. (We will use our fabulous canopy to cover the audience if it should rain)!
The path twists and turns and is bumpy under foot but should be fine for a rugged buggy!

(The Sunlight Ball is slightly shorter with more activities for younger families in the interval and a longer Ball at the end)
And the second at 7.30pm (The Twilight Ball with lit path to leave)
