Everything can be stolen.
This is the pirate’s code.
So live your life with your sword in your hand, wind in your sails and stars in your sky.
A BRAND NEW STORY FROM THE BOOK OF FAE FOR THOSE WITH WILD HEARTS.
The Woodland King and The Silver Moon invite you along the woodland path and through the hidden door, to celebrate the golden glimmer of summer and revel in the sparkling world of the wild and free.
At sea you learn to feel the ship as if it were a limb
Feel her creak under the push of the wind
And she feels you too
They say a ship at sea will eventually choose it’s own captain
The one who steers the strongest course
The one whose voyage is written in the stars
This is what Blackbeard told Arabella Drummond the night they fell in love
And this is where we begin our tale
In the sea shanty sway of a late night tavern in Bristol
Arabella had never met a man like Blackbeard before
And in the bottomless ocean of his dark blue eyes
There was a glint
That had cut her adrift
And swept her away
Blackbeard’s Heart is a full length Summer Ball Story, inspired by the incredible true story of Arabella Drummond of Bristol, a woman who became Blackbeard’s lover, then became a pirate then became a mother!
This is a tale of wild love, stunning courage, a pirate daughter born into revenge and the magic of a world that is mapped by the stars.
With a riotous mix of foot stomping live music, thrilling story, daring sword fights, otherworldly performance, explosive acrobatics, dancing, fire, free face painting, and the chance to create something wonderful in a free woodland craft workshop…
This is an adventure for wild spirits of all ages.
The adventure follows a trail along a winding path and the story takes place in the heart of the woods so come prepared.
The path twists and turns under foot but should be fine for a rugged buggy.
The production will go ahead in all but the most extreme weathers. The trees provide a surprising amount of shelter and we have our wonderful stretch canvas to cover the audience should rain be forecast.
For your woodland adventure we recommend you bring a picnic/snacks/treats (optional), a picnic blanket, a warm and waterproof coat, shoes for adventure (wellies if it has been raining) and a torch if you are coming for the evening performance.
There will be hay bales and log rings to sit on, though feel free to bring cushions or fold out chairs (if you don’t mind carrying them).
Blackbeard’s Heart is presented as part of a double bill with King Arthur.
(King Arthur performs daily at 7.30pm)
The adventure will last about 2 hours.
